Gas Condensate Demercaptanization (DMC) Unit of South Pars Phases 2 and 3 Refinery is aimed to reduce corrosive effects of harmful compounds on refinery facilities, cut environmental pollutants, improve the quality of gas condensate and ramp up the value added of the item with a daily processing capacity of 80,000 barrels.
The project entails construction of a Gas Condensate Demercaptanization (DMC) Unit, a caustic effluent neutralization unit, an ancillary services unit, a new firewater storage tank adjacent to the existing refinery water tank and a new power post.
The DMC unit is designed based on technical knowhow and license of the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry and the steps of purchasing goods, manufacturing and installation, and commissioning have been done by Petro Sanat Company of Khatam Al-Anbia Construction Headquarters.
The contract for this project has been awarded to a consortium of contractors consisting of Petro Sanat Company, Khatam Al-Anbia Construction Headquarters (Shahid Rajaei Group) and the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry.
This project has been implemented under an Engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract.
